In 2001, I co-founded and served as Creative Director for Artificial Studios, a middleware company dedicated to cutting-edge game technology using next-gen software and hardware. Our flagship product, Reality Engine, was commercially licensable as a game development solution complete with sample games, demos and a true WYSIWYG editor. I managed and directed all art content including tech demos, corporate identity, website design, and game design. I worked closely with the technical team to design powerful tools that helped the art team push the engine technology to the edge. Reality Engine’s impressive features and art demos attracted the attention of Epic Games, who acquired the technology in May 2005.
